November 1st.

This is always an important day. It’s the hubby’s birthday today! And while I’d love to spend the first day of NaNoWriMo writing my little heart out, my little heart (okay, it’s not little…it’s huge!) belongs to my love…and so we’re off on a date to the movies.  His choice, and a lovely gift I’m honoured to give him!

I did manage to get some writing time in. Somehow. And it feels good to be in the life of some new characters. Especially since I’ve been so busy working on my other YA novel. Yes, this new one is another YA novel. I can’t help it. It’s what I want to write, like, forever.

What can I tell you about it? Hmmm. The working title is throwing potatoes.

I feel good. It’s day one of what I know will be a long month when it comes to writing. And, I likely won’t be getting that much writing done over the weekend because I have to do some more editing on my other YA novel. Two at once can’t be good for my brain…but the overlap will only be for about a week.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo? How did your first day go?
