WHAT ELSE I DID:
Woke up late!! GAh! Rushed around like a chicken with her head chopped off…managed to get the kids up and out of the house but we still got to school a minute after the bell! (We weren’t the only ones. We never are!) Miller was so excited it’s Friday. She kept saying how happy she was, and that it feels like a Saturday. Anyhoo, I dropped the kids off at school, then I went to Deb’s Place to eat breakfast and write in my journal. I needed to take time to catch up on my ‘life’ in my journal (yes, I still do this. I’ve been writing in a journal since I was 8 years old). The last time I had written an entry was just after I interviewed Chris Hadfield for the second time! (Which I still need to transcribe and blog about!!!) That was almost a month ago. Too long! So I caught up and I felt emptied and lighter and better.
I got home by 10am, answered some emails, did some scheduling, then set to work on my novel. I had to stop writing to do some research. Today was actually a heavy research day. And a heavy math day. Huh? Yeah, since my story takes place in the future, I have to make sure my dates and timing makes sense. Can’t say I love this part of the process, but it needs to be done.
