Boomerang
This particular fear
is a boomerang
I’ve thrown her
with all my might
bid her good riddance
willed her to Mars
yet she persists
propulsions a return
so graceful & spectacularly
stunning I mistake
her for awe welcome her
in an embrace
when she settles
I feel her grip
& understand my fault
my power shrinks
This particular fear
is a boomerang
will she shape shift
into a kite?
is it up to me to
give her the opportunity
to change…& discover
the sky as freedom
in permanent leaving?
