POEM A DAY – August 25

The Call Sheet Says I’m ‘Head Wrangler’

& it’s more true than any description
for poet I’ve heard in years, especially
when this morning I was stationed
under the most whimsical, magical
willow tree & she wooed me to her
tendrils & made me touch one &
I literally giggled & my head wrangled
all these words into a poem

Our whimsical, magical willow!!

Friends…I’m on set each day this week…working with Pages, our pooch, who has a supporting role in the film! It’s magnificent and entirely exhausting. I will get photos and ponderings about our Hamilton heart tour event posted this weekend! Hope all are enjoying these last days of summer vacation…and RIP Dolly Parton. I’m watching ‘Steel Magnolias’ as I type…

  1. Wrangling words is even better than being a wordsmith, a word wrangler. I know what a call sheet is.  A bit of the film biz I picked up in research for book #4. I’m glad you are so focused these days, insulation from the tortured world.  It’s hot here, 109 yesterday.  I have to get busy for a Euro trip in 15 days. Hugs, M BTW these answers of mine don’t go out to all, do they?  If so, hi y’all.
