THE WINNING POEM:
Cheese And Six Words
Some of the saltiest lessons you can learn in life
shake you like a Chesterton sneeze:
Poetry has been mysteriously silent
on the topic of cheese.
Indeed, cheese delivers a message each night
salted and well-aged.
Pair it with the right food
that’s the challenge!
Then fold your arms and rejoice
that you aren’t in the poorhouse.
Nibble slowly on some cheese,
feel around with your
moustache hairs
like a satiated mouse.
And thus learn to cope
with the world
through the telescope
of your beady, cross-eyed receptors.
Poeming about cheese
is a breeze.
and it’s pleasing to see
that the curds signal victory.
Thank you Mark! EXPECT MAIL!!!
A valiant poem Mark! A very cheesy response to a fun Vanessa challenge!
