POEM A DAY – January 5

Today’s poem was inspired by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer’s poem of the day: ‘Give up Rosemerry, He Wrote In His Letter

What Beauty Arrives As I Let Go?
After Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer’s ‘Give up Rosemerry, He Wrote In His Letter’

I forward fold into the Taoist concept of wu wei
my muscles protest yet strengthen
my eyes close, my ears open
I release my shoulder blades into non-action
supple-shift my mind into non-doing
this is a way to begin a day

a tender tap into the body
that reveals its spectrum of beauty in the letting go –
it hurts to be alive and aware
emotional management in a plethora of wars
turns fire to ash, aftermaths of destruction soften and surrender
in monochromatic ascension

flakes of freedom foretell the return to stardust
beauty is trusting the next breath insists
knowing that even when the body withers
the miracle of you legacies –
folding forward into ecstatic arrivals of joy
the yous you let go of, the wu weis of your soul

May your Monday be extraordinary!
