POEM A DAY – March 18

womb

thrumming in the darkness of excitement
that dread-heavy tightening between shame and ecstasy
frenetic fertility flight – light lashing waves of affirmative
action, the body astral in pleasure’s mouth. A single egg
slow, bloated yet bellicose, bellyclose, a final miracle
in maybe-ed movement, will drop into oblivion, living
lastly in the reds of moonsong, soaked or wiped, flushed
away in gratitude, rendering this womb a vacant house.
O how fantastic! A strange freshness, to palm-press, to cont-
template. A bog bliss-ing. There will be moss, cohosh
marigold. Sundews trapping the bests of the body. Thriving
in the hazy moisture beyond the pause.

New moon in Pisces today. Spring equinox on Saturday. Prepare for energy wildness, including a deep calm. Take it! This cold needs to complete its statement of strength and head south, please. Away. My bones are weak from bracing!
