Toast Open Mic continues to thrive on the third (I think!) Tuesday of every month at Phog Lounge.

Windsor Poetry Slam continues to work it on the last Tuesday of every month at Phog Lounge.

This is a website and email blast that is incredible for Canadian writers. Brian Henry, the creator and a creative writing teacher, offers classes, workshops, events that he teaches, but he also includes links to everything from agents to submission calls to success stories. If you’ve never been to Pelee Island, I urge you to stop the madness and get your booty over there. It’s one of my favourite places to write – and wouldn’t cha know – there’s a house for writers there! Click HERE for the details about writing workshops, retreats and residencies.

Farmer/Writer Grant Munroe has a writing retreat and residencies place on a farm in the county. While residencies are selected, often public readings and events take place over the Spring and Summer.
