A READING!
I will be reading poetry as part of the By The River Reading Series presented by D.A. Lockhart and the Urban Farmhouse Press family on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Mackenzie Hall beginning at 7pm. I will share the stage with Carlinda D’Alimonte and Gord Grisenthwaite. We will all have books for signing and sale! It’s my first reading in many, many moons so I’ll be a little nervous! Do come out and listen and support!
Here is the Facebook event page – let us know you’re comin’! You bet it’s a free event!
And…Reading!
I finished reading Ami McKay’s ‘Half-Spent Was The Night – A Witches’ Yuletide’. Gad it was SO ENTERTAINING! I read it in about three hours…and now, as usual, I’m yearning for more! Boy, will someone please make any of her books into a film?!!
Next up is A Map of Days by Ransom Riggs – book four in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series. I flew through the previous books…and enjoyed the creepy yet powerful characters. I love what Riggs does for my imagination – kicks into high-gear! I did see the film (speaking of movies!) made about the previous books…but I have to say, in this case, what my imagination created was very different than what the screen provided…I’ll stick to my imagination. 🙂 Having said that – I do appreciate when any books gets adapted for the screen! It’s a dream of mine to have that happen so I’m in total support of the experience!
I will leave you with this:
“It is inevitable when one has a great need of something, one finds it. What you need you attract like a lover.” Gertrude Stein
Happy attraction!
