Poem 277 – Murmuration

Murmuration

It’s changing – again
this flock of starling grief
wweeping into new skies of grey pain
holding weather in the forest of my ribs

I miss you, of course
but differently – in less
grand pronouncements…
I’m sorry if that hurts you

Today, I’d give a limb to rest my head
on your shoulder
inhale your smile     pause
in the wisdom of your silence

To lift us into the murmuration of memory
beyond time

  1. Murmuration. What a mesmerizing word Vanessa! You brought me in, tears popped out, because I feel with you. “To lift us into the murmuration of memory beyond time”…YESSS!! Thank-you.
