Murmuration
It’s changing – again
this flock of starling grief
wweeping into new skies of grey pain
holding weather in the forest of my ribs
I miss you, of course
but differently – in less
grand pronouncements…
I’m sorry if that hurts you
Today, I’d give a limb to rest my head
on your shoulder
inhale your smile pause
in the wisdom of your silence
To lift us into the murmuration of memory
beyond time

Murmuration. What a mesmerizing word Vanessa! You brought me in, tears popped out, because I feel with you. “To lift us into the murmuration of memory beyond time”…YESSS!! Thank-you.
