In the Shower

“…you can’t dance and stay uptight…” Dancing in the Moonlight, King Harvest

We try to dance & stay uptight but
it is impossible
hips tocking
arms wailing
parts flipping & flopping
illuminated by a long-ago
penned lyric our naked bodies
age to the beats of google-summoned music

Facebook & instagram disappear into the ether of our love
we laugh, oh we laugh
dancing in the light of this waning day
the moon’s cheeks jiggling with joy
…all the moons all the cheeks
