POEM A DAY – June 21

Father’s Day Solstice

aging lovers lean
against the poolside
watching leaves float on
the water’s swift current
today is the longest day

wolves howl divinations
of impossible magic as
clouds cluster and the
moon waxes toward a
fullness that will attempt

to light the world like
their love lights each
other: tremendous
extraordinary
infinite

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY & SUMMER SOLSTICE!
